what i learned from will smith

willsmithIt’s no secret that I am a fan of Will Smith. I’ve followed his career from Parents Just Don’t Understand to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to I am Legend. I haven’t seen Hancock yet, sorry Will; it’s not you I promise. My babysitter up and moved on me so seeing a movie is well complicated.

I TiVo his interviews on Ellen and Oprah so I can watch them when I get home from work. Even stayed up past my bedtime to see him on Jay Leno.

He has created an amazing brand for himself I would love to just sit down with him and pick his brain on how he did it. According to Forbes.com he is leading the pack as the highest paid actor in Hollywood. And he’s a parent too!

This morning he called into Ryan Seacrest show promoting his new film Seven Pounds. I’m drawn to this movie because even after watching the interviews and trailers I still have no idea what the movie is about. It’s that “Lost” feeling that makes me want to go see it. I’ll have to check it out over the Christmas holiday. I hope the movie does well for you Will!
During his interview he mentioned he said to “Read and Run and you will get everything you want.” Or something similar.

Interesting just reading and running that should be easy right. Made me want to just jump out of the car with my Women’s Health magazine and start running. It would be too hard to explain that to the CHP officer on the 101 so I decided to wait.

All jokes aside I can see what he is getting at; running gives you the private time to think and reading allows you to grow. That is a combination for success.

I plan on dusting off my running shoes in the New Year, how about you?

Oh by the way Will, if you need a script to read during your run, I have a couple you could read!
