As a mom that is constantly on the go and in my car, I rely on my Droid phone to quickly respond to emails and other business. I love the convenience of the phone, but boy is the font so small that it makes me dizzy sometimes! =) It also does not have the full capibility of a computer/laptop so some of the more important things that have to get done either have to wait until I get home or I rush home to take care of it.

Having the Mobile Mommy HP Pack would allow me to focus on my business more conveniently and the camcorder will help me to not miss those memorable moments with my children that I usually witness while thinking “man, I should keep the camcorder in my car.”

I’m in need of a small portable laptop to keep me connected during my travels. I’d love to have something to slide right into my purse. I absolutely can’t stand lugging too much around. I love recording videos of my little man, especially in HD. The motion detection feature is a plus. I wouldn’t have to snip off the first few seconds of video spent setting up to record.

This would help me in so many ways. First, I’d be able to let my girls use it for school style website learnings. If we go somewhere, I could take it with me. Schools about to start soon and I could use all the portable techie stuff my bag can carry (and I have a big bag)….

I travel quite a bit with my jobs – usually within 300 miles, and home each night, but this would be so easy to take along and not have to print things out ahead of time.

I write for a living (freelance journalism and reviews) in order to support my creative side (poetry, fiction, collages that I show professionally). So I have to write EVERYWHERE and this would certainly help! Plus that camcorder – for years I did video (work for a TV show) while never being able to capture my PERSONAL history, which I could do with this!

The HP Mini 210 HD Edition would make it easier to access my email and internet when traveling. Currently my old heavy and clunky Dell is a pain to lug around. Plus the battery only lasts about 20 minutes to I always have find an outlet to use it.

I am out of the house a lot, especially in the summer, traveling to see relatives and such. Having the laptop would allow me to keep up with my emails while away so I don’t get bombarded with them when I am back home. The camcorder would be great for capturing the memories of my kids with their relatives.

This would be so great for my grand daughter to take to her games she is going to be the head cheerleader at her school this year for her last year of high school.

A several months ago I lost my job due to budget cuts. I had been feeling down and depressed about. Then one of my friends mentioned how much ladies often rave about the diaper cakes and baby themed gift baskets I make for friends and family for their baby showers. She suggested that I try to turn it into a small business. I have a 3 year old that stays home with me now, (because I took her out of daycare to save money). I only have a desktop computer so most days we are stuck sitting in one room, while I’m on the computer sending out resumes, or I’m online looking for supplies to make diaper cakes and gift baskets. If I had the HP mini it would allow me to have more portability, I could take my daughter to the park and use the mini while she plays or I could take it with me to show potential customers pictures of some of the gift baskets and diaper cakes I have created for others. The HP camcorder would allow me to have great looking pictures and video that I could use to create a website for customers to see my products and I also would use it to send video/pictures of my daughter to her grandparents who live in another state.

I would not be tied to my computer desk all day and could get more things done in more comfortable places.

Wow, this HP pack would simplify my life so much! First off, I’d finally have a computer that is mine all mine…bwahahaha. Seriously, it’s very rare that I can claim anything to be mine in this house, but if I win that cute lil laptop, it’s definitely going in the “This Is Mommy’s – Do Not Touch” pile. It would be great to be able to travel with the HP Mini, a lot of my job has to do with being able to check business emails, update through FTP, etc, so this would make that so much easier. As you say, the HP Mini 210 Specs is compact and light weight, yet powerful. Lugging around a 17-in laptop can be backbreaking and the HP Mini would be ideal for keeping in touch while on the go. It’s fully functional yet small and light, thus making it easy to bring anywhere. The HP V5040u digital camcorder would be great for documenting all of the events in your life and business. The Mobile Mommy HP Pack would be such a wonderful timesaver and argument ender for us. Fighting over one computer is an everyday occurence. But an HP Mini would be so convenient. I get most of my recipes online, and with the mini, I could get my recipe on the screen and set the computer on the counter and voila! No printing, no bumping someone off the computer!! Like most mommies/grandmas, I carry a bag large enough to stick the mini and the camcorder in. I could take them both nearly everywhere we go. What fun to be able to record the kids/grandkids at the park, and upload and send right then and there! We have never owned a video camera, so having one would be a huge treat!

How would this help me? I am a mom of three, one teenager and two toddlers, I run my own virtual assistant business from home, with a website, and a homesteading blog. I often have to go to the “big town” – we live in a rural area – to get supplies and will stop for coffee or lunch. I always work through these pit stops and my 17″ laptop is a pain to juggle, so the mini would be PERFECT. Plus, if I had the digital recorder, I could start vlogging!

Wow, this is cool I should get one for myself. Your definitely right when you said if you left the drive at home ..it’s ike you left your brain also. With people who are on the go, especially for moms like you there’s always so many thing to get done and time is very valuable so having to get something really handy like HP Mini 210…it helps a lot.

Also for stay at home moms get easily bored with the routine of looking after children and often long for adult conversation. This is where social media sites can help – on sites like Squidoo, for example, you can create new friendships and also earn money online. No time is wasted with doing something that lifts you up I’d say.

I would love to have a small camcorder to be able to video the cute things the kids do instead of having to try to explain it to my husband later.

It could simplify my life by keeping me organized

First I would like to thank you for the chance to enter this contest and explain my reasons for wanting it.
I was working for a small company and always wanted to have my own company, but alas that has not happened yet. I then met this wonderful woman, Donna who turned out to be the love of my life, and we dated for awhile, and then as many, differed apart, only to rediscover one another sometime later. She has become my wife, partner and best of all my true friend. We have been blessed with a wonderful daughter the past 22 years. But, the story takes a nasty twist, not the fairy tale that we wanted from each other.
I moved up in the company that I worked for, and was asked to take over the Atlantic region of the company, we talked for many hours and decided to give it a shot and move from New England to the Maryland/Virginia are for me. We took our daughter with us and packed a truck, hopped in the cab and took off for our new adventure. Donna did this for me; she has done many things for me to advance my career. Dinners, socials, trade shows, meetings, and long hours of being alone in a strange area (she grew up in New England)…..all for me.
Then the worst happened, the dr’s appointment that was,” we need to talk to you both”. We went to see the doctor in Annapolis, and now it wasn’t about me, it was about her. All about her.
Donna has put her career on hold for me, trying to start her own professional photography business , working in day care and raising our daughter, to volunteering at various animal rescue groups were ever we have lived. She has spent countless hours organizing, trapping, soliciting and even fostering the sick and infirmed animals that no one wanted until they got better and ready for adoption. She has photographed families that could afford family portraits, or even school type pictures for free in our area. But now, it was time that she had to focus on herself. I had to leave my job to care for her as well as our daughter. I gave up a high paying job, our house, moved back to New England, family, friends to care for her throughout her illness, over the past five years she has endured countless procedures, operations, spinal taps, blood tests, MRI’s, cat scans, poked and prodded, multiple doctors. This past January after a last ditch effort to stop all this, we found a wonderful doctor that has sent her into a state of remission. No more treatments, no more pills no more….”what next” to having my friend, my partner and best of all my wife back.
As she starts to try and get back on track and start her life over. She has hopes of starting her own business as well as I do too. I have been working on acquiring a landscape construction business as Donna is trying to restart her photography business, all the while still volunteering to help animal rescue groups in our area, with all her organizing skills.
This computer will be used for both our businesses, mostly Donnas, to store, plan and work on her photography work, and to help develop the different animal rescue groups that she loves to participate in. The computer will benefit non – profit organizations that care for cats and dogs that will be taken in to no-kill shelters as well as no-kill foster care programs that Donna volunteers for. Most of the work has to be done at home. This is due to the fact that she still is unable to drive and spend too much time on her feet as of yet. We could use this computer since we have moved into a small town house and have little room with our daughter, German shepherd dog, 2 adoptive cats, 2 foster cats and 4 foster kittens.
If you chose us as the winners we would be using the computer for our personal/business as well as for no-kill /non-profit organizations in our local area. This computer will not only benefit our family, but many people as well as many animals in the future.

I serve as Secretary on a couple of nonprofit Boards. The Mobile Mommy HP Pack would simplify my life by providing me a light, powerful computer small enough to carry in a bag under the arm of my wheelchair. A couple of inches makes a big difference in portability! With up to 10 hours of battery life, I could take meeting minutes without having to plug in somewhere!

The camcorder could be used at family gatherings. It could be set in a given location and record whenever someone comes near. It can also be used at technology trade shows to record interviews with various vendors, with an opportunity to see new products in action!

Since it is smaller I would be able to put it right into a diaper bag or purse and not have to worry about carrying a laptop case around while holding my kids.

My youngest son graduated from Furman University & is going to LSU this fall for his graduate studies. We would have loved to have had this great prize package for his graduation, maybe we’ll win it for his next one!!! I would love the mini laptop too, because when we travel to his recitals & events, I miss not having my desktop handy. My whole life has become centered around the computer now, it kept me sane when my daughter & her son were killed in 2001. It also lets me keep up with the rest of my children who don’t live at home anymore, plus it’s the easiest way to find locations, etc. What did we do before computers? We keep saying we’ll get a camcorder, but we never do, then something happens, (like the college graduation), & we wish we had. Good luck everyone!

The Mobile Mommy HP Pack would simplify my life by introducing the world of sharing and communication to my family. With the HP Pack , I would be able to record footages of my nephews , brothers , and friends do what they do for fun. If I get their permission to post it on the world wide web , I will. With the Mobile HP pack , I would be able to connect to my overseas families easier , faster and anywhere on the go! I’m just imagining the amount of smiles and memorable moments , if I’m able to chat with my long – lost sister. I can’t chat with her now but with the HP pack , I may be able to chat with her and stay in contact with her. What about my siblings? They too! This would greatly simplify my life. I just started medical school and already my brand new laptop has to be sent back and replaced. I don’t have another computer, and my laptop is also a little big to drag to class. This would be perfect, and give me a smaller computer to bring to class, and the video camera would allow me to videotape lectures, and also record memories of medical school – my current camera is a digital SLR and is too heavy to bring anywhere, so I rarely get to take any photos. (also, the contest ends on my birthday and it would make the best birthday present ever).

This prize would simplify my life greatly. I have 2 adult children, who were both living at home until recently, my daughter just started graduate school but is home on weekends (so far), and my son still lives at home. Our desktop is outdated, and both are always using my laptop. Winning this would allow me to make my current laptop a ‘family’ computer and keep the new one for myself, it would also be much easier for work as it would be much lighter to take with me, I do consulting work and the bag can be so heavy by the time I put the laptop and files in it. My current laptop is also 3 years old and the battery only lasts 1-2 hours, so it would be wonderful to have that 8-10 hour battery life. We never take many photos and never took any videos, I’d love to get some of my family before it’s too late and the kids are out of the house completely.

As a teacher, my job requires me to use computer most of the time. It is difficult for me when i have to bring an over-2-kg laptop to classes everyday. it makes me really worn-out.
Furthermore, my sister and I have only one laptop. Sometimes both of us need to use it and it’s extremely inconvenient.

In our house there’s one lone desktop that my husband, daughter and I share. I decided last spring that the one regret I had in life was not going to college so this fall, I will start taking computer classes at our local college during the day while working full time afternoons. An HP Mini is exactly what I’ll need; I’ll be able to use it for my classwork and also gain some time on the internet at home without having to share the desktop like I do now. How would the Mobile Mommy HP Pack simplify your life?

I am days from gaining custody of my cousin’s daughter (my cousin was killed a tragic plane crash almost 2 years ago). This little girl and my own daughter are only 3 months apart. In a nutshell, I will be the mother of 4 year old twins!!

Although I am sooo excited, I am wondering how I will fit everything in. Between blog posting, twitter updates, online business commitments, online banking, etc., my day is already a challenge. Adding another sweet child in the mix will make it nearly impossible. A portable, reliable, compact computer would make my life so much easier! I can work on the go! My girls wont feel neglected (haha). I am still finding the balance between my online-life and my real-life, having the HP Mobile Mom Pack would be awesome!

I look after my grandchildren when their parents work. The Mobile Mommy HP Pack would simplify my life by giving me access to the internet for craft ideas, recipes, children’s songs, etc that I could access in the room they are playing in. Now if I want that information I have to take them all into the little office where the desktop is, write down the information and then go to the room where we will do the activity. We homeschool. It would allow me to be able to sit at the table with the kids and still do some work on the computer. It would make running the weekly Bible club at church easier, too. I could keep forms, schedules, kid’s address’ and other information on it and carry it with me.
