As many of you know I participated in the 30Day Sonicare Challenge hosted by Creative Bias and Philips – we were tasked with purchasing and testing out the Sonicare tooth brushes. The challenge included me, the Hubs and our 5 year old daughter. Bizzie Boy wasn’t included because he’s actually too young to use the Sonicare toothbrush, but when he’s ready I’ll definitely convert him as well.
It’s usually a challenge to get my daughter to brush her teeth, I would constantly have to remind her but ever since we’ve been using the Sonicare toothbrushes she has been willing to brush her teeth whenever asked. Which has made the bedtime routine 10x easier and I have the security of knowing she’s getting a good cleaning.
A few days before the challenge she actually went to the dentist for a cleaning and they found a very minor cavity which probably the result of her late night snacking. We were given the option to get it filled or just wait it out and decided that we’ll be getting it filled. I know these are her baby teeth and they’ll fall out anyway, but right now it’s such a minor procedure I would rather just take care of it.
We are scheduled to go to the dentist in a few weeks so it will be interesting to find out if the dentist notices the difference in her teeth. I didn’t have a pre-appointment but I’ll be getting a cleaning so I look forward to hearing what they have to say as well.
I had admit we’ve had electronic toothbrushes before but it was such a hassle to use because we only had one base and had to keep switching out the tooth brush – eventually we just went back to using our regular old toothbrush. Having a base for both myself and my husband made things so much easier. I even took my sonicare brush to BlogHer this year and it stayed charged throughout the trip.
Overall we are happy with the Sonicare toothbrushes and will keep using them and I will do my very best to keep up with the replacement head schedule every three months.
I would recommend the Sonicare toothbrush for both adults and children in the right age requirements.

Way to Go! Great job on the 30 day challenge. I bet the Dentist is very pleased.
