Last month I was able to participate in the Disney Startup Princess Academy and meet some amazing entrepreneurs and speakers. The event stated off with a casual dinner in downtown Disney and a late night visit to the park. I watched the fireworks with Blah and Janice from 5 Minutes from Mom.
The next morning was all business. Some of the speakers present were Kelly Anderson founder of Startup Princess, Maria Andros (@mariaandros), the owners of Grand Avenue PR (www.grandavenuePR.com), Serena Ulrich (@serena), Ciaran (@momfluential), and several others.
I met some amazing attendees, Janice from 5 Minutes from Mom, Cirian from Francie Pants and Ellen from Zoom Album and so many others.
To say I learned a lot was putting it mild. I have to admit by the end of the event, I found myself a little confused and frustrated. It was hard to see all of the other moms or woman who already had the opportunity to dive into their passion with out the crutch of a full-time job. My job is the Achilles heel of my life. So I left the event a little defeated.
Here is a video I took on my way home from the event. Yes I was driving. What, there isn’t a “no VLOGGING while driving” law. Not yet at least.
So it took me a few weeks to reorganize and as I did, I discovered my niche and when I did it was so obvious. It only makes since to create a niche on what you know and what you love. Duh, right?

Somehow I missed this blog post on the event until now when I was doing some searches…thank you for the video too. I”m sorry if you felt overwhelmed after the event but it sounds like you used those questions/doubts about your current biz to refocus and find a new direction. Congrats! I hope you can make it to more OC chapter events and we”d love to have you in Utah as well for any of our large events up here too.
