Photo Video West Launches Cup of Photography Photo Contest
Online Photo Contest for Professional and Amateur Photographers Opened January 15,
2013 for Entries

Photo Video West, the go-to photography event and expo on the West Coast, announces the World Cup of Photography photo contest is open for entries. Sponsored by Photo Video West, Fast Forward Event Productions, Werner Publishing, the Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA), Scan Diego, Tamron USA, and Adobe Users Groups, the contest, which runs from January 15 – March 31, 2013, gives professional and amateur photographers from any country worldwide the opportunity to compete.
“We look forward to seeing the creativity and talent of photographers from around the globe competing for the Grand Prize,” said Ken Loyst, co-producer of Photo Video West.
Participants have the option to compete in the Professional or Amateur division for the Grand Prize, a cash award of $1,000, Tamron 18-270 PZD lens and Adobe Master Collections. Category winners will also be selected for each category including children, portrait, wedding, wildlife, landscape, still life, artistic, silhouette, and underwater. First place winners for each category win a copy of Adobe Lightroom or Adobe Photoshop.
Early Bird (ends March 1, 2013) entry fees are $25 (Professional) or $20 (Amateur) per single photograph. After March 1, 2013, entry fees are $35 (Professional) or $30 (Amateur) per single photograph. A portion of the proceeds benefits MOPA. There is no restriction to the number of photographs participants can submit.
To enter the contest, participants must visit www.digitalphotopro.com/pvw, locate the “Enter Contest” button and complete and submit the online entry and acceptance of the Official Rules and Regulations. To be eligible, each online entry must be received no later than midnight (PST) on March 31, 2013. All entrants must be at least 18 years of age in order to qualify.
