What inspired you start your business?
My passion for organizing! Which lead from one business to the next. I also LOVE to work and network with women-especially women.

How long has your business been in business?
Organizing for 7 years.  Mothertime Mktplace 4 years.
NED for the US Family Guide since December 2008.

What did you do in your past work life?
I worked for large corporations in sales and advertising.

What is your ideal workday like?

I work in the comfort of my home office with my 3 year old son at home and some days my 1st grader on non-school days.  I spend the day on the internet and on the phone with my contacts.  Running all three of my business ventures.  Many weekends I have a book signing scheduled which is really fun.

What have been some of your major successes?
Publishing my book, Organize Now! I have always dreamed of becoming and author. The first time I saw my book in Barnes and Noble I realized that dreams do come true-if you work hard enough.

What have been some of your major challenges?
Conference calls in my home office when the kids are needing me or in the middle of a fight! :)

On those impossible days, what motivates you to keep going?
My inner drive or a chat with a good friend if I really need a boost.

Do you have a motivational quote?
Four steps to achievement.  Plan purposefully, prepare prayerfully, proceed positively, pursue persistently.

What is your balancing secret in managing a business and family?

Step away from the laptop!

If there was one piece of advice you could give to your children about running a successful business, what would it be?

Don’t take no for an answer-anything is possible!  If you can dream it you can do it. And don’t be afraid to think outside the box!

Do you have a favorite business tool and/or resource?

The internet.  Everyday I am amazed and where this awesome tool leads me and who I meet through it.

What is next for your business?
Organize Now-proceed with the challenge and try to bring it to more of a national level with television and radio interviews. And hopefully very soon a second book.

Your two cents sales pitch?
Organize Now can literally be the only organizing book you will ever need.  With straight forward goals and tips including checklist, Organize Now, helps you organize everything in your life from your mind & priorities, to rooms in your home.

    Wow, now I’m intrigued. Till now I considered books like Organize now! a scam, a bunch of useless/obvious advice that was compiled only to make money but this interview left me thinking… and I just might buy the book, if only to prove myself wrong! :)
    Thank you for the interview, it opened my mind a bit.

  2. I always have good intentions to get organized and I have read the book. At first all is well I do get organized and I even like it, temporarily. Then I become restless and things settle back into their old ways. I loose it again. Is it a personality flaw or are some people functioning on a different plane? I wonder.
