I am a blog and print graphic designer. I also manage social media accounts for individuals, brands, and companies. Primarily, I set up and customize WordPress blogs. I also migrate blogs from Blogger to self hosted WordPress seamlessly.
What inspired you to start your business?
I was laid off from a job that ha nothing to do with my degree. I wanted to take things into my own hands and finally do what I had a passion to do.
How long have you been in business?
I have been offering my graphic design services for 6 months, however I have a degree in CIS-Web Graphic Design.
What did you do in your past work life?
I have been in sales and management for 15 years at various employers.
Describe your ideal workday.
My ideal work day would be completing projects and having a waiting list to start more client work.
What have been some of your major successes?
Of course my first order was a major success.
What have been some of your major challenges?
I think one of the major challenges is helping my husband understand that I can work online.
On those impossible days, what motivates you to keep going?
My family always motivates me to continue.
Do you have a motivational quote?
I don’t have a motivational quote. But I always tell myself “Stop whining about it and do something to change it.”
If there was one piece of advice you could give to your children about running a successful business, what would it be?
Stay focused and don’t wait to do what you love to do.
What is your balancing secret in managing a business and family?
It is all about getting the job done and having fun doing it. I don’t really have a secret when it comes to managing my business and family.
Do you have a favorite business tool and/or resource?
Honestly, networking is the best business tool for me.
What is next for your business?
I hope to keep increasing sales and growing my client base.
