Motherhood changes your life, every mom knows that. However how each mom deals with those changes differs greatly. For me the transition was complex, stressed and difficult.
Don’t get me wrong, I got how to take care of my kids and I love them dearly. They are and always have been properly cared for.
What I DID forget was ME.
As I grew more into my role as a mother, I slowly felt my inner self disappearing. My whole life was now wrapped up into my little baby girl. Everything I did, everything I bought was all centered on her. I stopped writing because it just didn’t fit into my “mommy” schedule. My husband and I spent less and less time together. I stopped hanging out with friends. I was just Mommy. It felt like that for a long time.
When my son was three years later, I was more prepared for the loss of “SELF”, but this time it was different. Without even realizing it, I maintained ME. Sure I was tired and had weak moments. But I was still “Me” and I was even a better “Me”. And I owe it all to blogging and networking with other moms.
I originally started blogging to help promote my online baby boutique and then I branched off into a personal blog which is now bizziemommy.com. BizzieMommy.com is my “real-life” outlet the place that is all about me and what I want to do.
Then I was introduced to a whole new world, social networking. It started with mombloggersclub.com, the community for mom bloggers. Perfect exactly what I needed.
Today I have created a social network that reaches far more moms then I will ever meet in person, but that all relate to what I’m going through as a working mother, as a business owner and as a mom.
I would love to meet some of those moms in person. They have motivated me to keep going, they have encouraged me to push the envelope and they have shown me that reaching my goals is possible. I would love to thank each and every one of them in person.
I know a lot of those moms are going to the blogher conference in Chicago and I would love to be able to go to meet them and other moms just like me. I would love to learn more about blogging, marketing and all that the blogher conference has to offer.
I can already tell you which sessions I would to attend. Business of You: Advanced Social Media, Syndication and Stats, Business of You: Advanced SEO, Leadership: Green and Ec0-blogging and Identity/Passions: Enough About You…Who’s Reading You?
Extraordinary Mothers is giving away a conference pass and I’m crossing my fingers and toes that they pick me.

Mom Blogs – Blogs for Moms…
…
I can totally relate. I do not want to lose me in the process of being a Mom, Stepmom, and wife. I love blogging and I am glad that I found such a wonderful community. Blogging is also leading me to other idea/business ventures, that I am excited about. Yay, bloggers.
[...] I really, really want to attend BlogHer in Chicago this year, so this is yet another post about winning a sponsorship. I didn’t want to bore my readers about another story about why I think I’m worthy. If you want to find out why I deserve to win just read my worthy post I Finally Got My Groove Back. [...]
I read your first post about this and still completely agree- you deserve to be there and I hope we both get to go and meet each other
