A message to my children.
You are too young to understand the “true” significance of yesterday’s events for you are just a child. I am still so proud of you able to recognize President Obama in a crowd, in a picture and on TV. Today as I drove you to school a sense of pride filled my heart as you yelled, “It’s Obama,” when you heard his voice on the radio. You warmed my heart last night when you called out to Obama on the television, “I love you Obama.” You have no idea the significance of today and the days to come but you shout out “Change is going to come!” at my request.
If Obama’s plans ring true then you will not have to worry about the problems in today’s world you will only read about them in history books. If things go to plan, then the issues we as your parents face today will be mere examples – a play book of what not to do in the future.
I have big plans for you and your brother and with President Obama now in his rightful place, I believe you will be able to follow your dreams and reach your goals.
You are too young to comprehend what was said during President Obama’s Inaugural speech but I wanted to share some highlights that I thought were important.
Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America — they will be met. On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord…
The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness…
Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America. For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act — not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth…
To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society’s ills on the West — know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what…
To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist…
Let it be said by our children’s children that when we were tested we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back, nor did we falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God’s
grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations…
Change is no longer COMING, it is HERE, and it is NOW.

Ya know I am not sure what I thought of last nights episode of LOST. Yet again I am left with more questions but I also had the feeling that they are finally going to go somewhere with it and start to give some answers. I think it will be a good season. I am looking forward to it.

So glad to have someone in office who has a head on his shoulders. I especially like how he’s standing up for womens rights, and pulling us out of unneccessary war
I almost cried that day. And I also watched the celebration on HBO and that too was moving. Obama is the greatest speaker in the world right now.
