Wishing Everyone the Best Year Possible
Every year I try and come up with a theme for the New Year. This morning I crawled out of bed slipped into my running shoes and went out for a morning run. My plan was to run my four miles since it’s really where I left off when I took an unplanned break from running. I took a job in Georgetown that was making it difficult to continue my morning therapy sessions and I don’t have access to the gym to run during lunch. So I had to take a break…
But once I hit the pavement I remembered how much I enjoyed this time alone, the only 45 minutes I have to myself that I have complete control over, so I just ran. I ran paced my 1 ½ marker, I ran past my 2 mile turn around marker. I decided that I did 5 miles once, why not do it again.
And that’s when the words hit me, Go Big or Go Home.
So I ran and ran some more and on my way up the last hill of the end of my trek I kept chanting in my head, “Go Big or Go Home.”
I realized this is what 2013 is ALL about. If I’m not going to go big then I need to go home. It’s time to put on those big girl pants and give-it-my-all in EVERYTHING I do.
