So a few days ago I went into the living room and what’s my husband watching, a recording of Arthur. He sits me down and says he was flipping through channels and had to record it for me. My first reaction was, really? You recorded a cartoon for me?
I sat down anyway and the title of the episode pops up, “Muffy and the Big Bad Blog.” I posted the clip for anyone interested.
Anyhow Muffy the Blogger starts out blogging about her trip to Costa Rica, upon her return to school she asks her friends to leave questions on her blog so she can reply to them later. She says, “I’ll only respond to the best questions.”
I’m super guilty of not responding to comments, I mean to, it’s just I’m juggling so much at once I can’t always get to them. How about you do respond to blog comments and do you only select the best ones?
In this episode they discuss that blogs need, and they need to be about something people care about. I would like to consider my blog has a niche and I often find myself turning down campaigns or concepts even if they are paid if they don’t fit the current topics I cover. What do you think? What types of blogs do you like to read? How do you feel about other blogs that talk about stuff solely because they are paid to?
The best part is when the two characters get in an argument over blogging and start blog bullying each other. At the end the girls learn to keep some things private.
But it’s pretty ironic how on point this episode is about blogging. Do you think a blogger wrote the episode?
PS. You’ll probably get a kick out of the teacher not knowing anything about blogging or computers for that matter – not sure how he became a teacher.
