blogging my way from reality

So to sum it up, I had a flat tire this morning that the Hubs had to change when we already 15 minutes late for work. This past week we finally got our heater fixed, and then our dishwasher broke. I broke the garage door opener when it slipped out of my hand. Our DVR broke and erased, we replaced it with another broken one, only to get the new one that neither of us can figure out how to use. It seems like everything is falling apart or breaking down these days.

So when I finally got into the office this morning, I was feeling pretty sorry for myself. What can possibly go wrong? It’s weird how the stupid little stuff can have such a dramatic effect on my. After all my dad walked away from an accident that totaled his car, my kids are both healthy and happy, my husband is healthy and mostly happy (meaning he’s happy but would love a ton a money, probably a wife that cooked, and some other things not worth mentioning here). So what the heck am I complaining about?
So I decided it was time for a cocktail, unfortunately the alcoholic version is frowned upon at work so I stopped by the Cocktail Café for some laughs and from their I found Ten rules of the all-mighty calendar, To Be or Not To be: A Social Butterfly and I can’t forget ComplicatedMama and her blog Complicated Simplicity, her posts are simply straight and to the point I love it. And I really really can’t forget Mrs. Fussy Pants.

Ah feeling better already.

I love reading posts from Renee, Christie, Kristina, Sheena and Michele you keep me motivated. So what if my tire almost exploded, at least it gave me something to blog about.

Blogging and reading other blogs has been one of the ways I escape reality. I can completly ignore the dishes, the laundry, and the bills when I write. Thank you to all my blogging friends for the great reads and the wonderful comments.

Oh…sorry to hear you had such a lousy day. Last year this time my husband was unemployed (laid off 3 mo prior w/ no prospects for a new job) and we were hardly making it. That long, dry period really taught me how to value other things, like you mentioned – health of my kids (we didn’t have insurance for 7 mo while he was unemployed and thank God no one needed to see a doctor during that time), love of a good man, friends, etc.

Will be thinking of ya and sending positive vibes your way! :)

I am glad that everything worked out in the end. And I am glad to have you as a friend. Twitter is amazing isn’t it?

Guess what? I’ve actually taken time to do the dishes, cook and clean to escape the blog world. Ironic isn’t it? We’ve been busting our butts with our blog so that we can have time to relax. We need a washer & dryer and a mattress. We’ve been sleeping on an airbed since August and last week it got a hole in it. Funds are not coming fast enough. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade – I know I sound so cheesy right now! *HUG*

I can relate, sometimes the smallest things will tick me off. That’s my indicator to know that I need a break and I’m stressed out. I’m glad you find comfort in blogging cause I do the same. And thank you for refering to one of my post.

Thanks for visiting my blog. You should try the eggless chocolate cake I tried for my son for his birthday. It was awesome.

I read a couple of your posts here. You surely have a very good sense of humor and I like your style of writing.

I’m with Sheena on this one. Blogging becomes addictive and nothing is getting done in the house.
