As I lie in bed these days I can’t help but wonder if those middle of the night nudges and kicks are my baby’s attempts at trying to find the exit. With only four weeks left until his eviction date I can’t help but wonder if he’s planning on making an early arrival. Will his entrance into his new world be like his older sister’s?
With my daughter we were completely caught of guard. We had a plan to clean the house, get the groceries, pack the bags, get my hair done, and get organized all that weekend. But she decided to come on a Tuesday, the same day of my “surprise” baby shower at work. We learned our lesson this time. The bags are already packed; the house is pretty clean, for a house with a 2 year old at least. So now we are just awaiting his arrival. My husband’s bet is the baby is coming this week.
My prediction is next week. After all my parents will be in town for Thanksgiving and will be leaving on Saturday. So my guess is he’ll find his exit strategy sometime after their plan takes off to return home.
