aug 3 – confessions of a transitional mompreneur

BlogHer 2010, I can’t believe it already been a year since my first BlogHer experience. Last year was a little overwhelming I have to admit. Throwing an introvert like me in a hotel with a bunch of other women would normally have me sitting in a corner, “people watching.”

But a strange thing happened at BlogHer 2009, people recognized me – well not me physically – but virtually and mostly by my Twitter handle. Last year my Hubs bought me a “beauty pageant” sash to wear at the event with my domain name stitched across. So instead of “Miss. California” it said “BizzieMommy.com” and I have to say it helped a lot. I was able to talk to people fairly easily and I think it made it easier for people to approach me.

This year I’m hoping to meet a lot more people so if you see my walking down the hall – stop and say hello. I’ll be the one wearing the Sash. Let me know if you want to be interviewed I would love to do some live interviews while there.

Now I need to start getting ready for this trip. I need to pick out clothes, pack, finish writing some blog posts, pack, wash clothes, charge every phone for every gadget, braid Miss M’s hair, look at the BlogHer agenda, pick out the kids clothes for the week and pack. Did I mention I need to pack?
