A Review: Shari’s Berries and Chocolate Dipped Pretzels
Chocolate and strawberries one of the best combinations around
Probably my most favorite indulgent, chocolate covered strawberries are a sure fire way to get on my good side. I usually try and make them on my own during strawberry season, but my most favorite are chocolate covered strawberries from Shari’s Berries.
A few weeks ago I received a lovely delivery from Shari’s Berries that included an assorted dozen of chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate dipped pretzels. What made it even extra special is that they arrived just in time for our wedding anniversary.
If I could I would order Shari’s Berries once a month, but I only get a chance to indulge around Valentine’s Day, far better sweet then flowers in my opinion.
The weather was pretty hot the day of their arrival so I stuck around the house to await the delivery. But naturally I eventually had to pick up the kids so I headed out to collect them. They berries were delivered while I was out and sitting on the porch when I arrived.
I brought the box in and was pleasantly surprised when I saw the ice packs surrounding my lovely Shari’s Berries and I just had to sneak a sample strawberry before storing them in the fridge for later that evening. Plus I had to tuck them away before the kids found them. My daughter seems to have developed my love for chocolate covered strawberries.
While cooking dinner, she was rummaging in the fridge and found the box (and I totally forgot she could read). “Are those chocolate covered strawberries, Mommy?” she asked.
Of course I said they weren’t, the child’s palette isn’t sophisticated enough to appreciate the lovely combination of chocolate and strawberry. I mean she would be just as satisfied with a bowl of ice cream.
As a compromise I let her indulge in the chocolate dipped pretzels.
The one thing I love about Shari’s Berries is the size of her strawberries; they are huge in comparison to some of the other places you can order strawberries from. That and the sweet freshness of the strawberries, they ALL seem perfectly ripe.
Another thing I love about Shari’s Berries is the variety of choices you have between dips (chocolates and decorations). I’m very simplistic myself, selecting the dipped swizzled strawberries. I love how they come in variety of milk, dark and white chocolate. My husband doesn’t like the milk or dark chocolate so I always save him a couple of white chocolate strawberries to enjoy.
