Last week I participated in the 77Kids Do Good Day an event that involved 6 Los Angeles/Orange County bloggers including myself and 77 fantastic mom bloggers across 11 U.S. cities.
Our event took place at the Seaside Lagoon, a family beach in Redondo Beach, CA. Our task was to enlist the child beach goers to make get well cards for the children at Children’s Hospital of Orange County. For every card made, the kids received a 77Kids list of good deeds that can be done for a $1 along with on dollar bill to pay it forward with a good deed. In addition we partnered with Cold Stone Creamery and Ruby’s Diner to offer the participating kids ice cream and a kid’s meal.
The kids were eager to create the cards for the children and parents and camp counselors agreed that it was a great idea to include them.
The Motherhood and 77Kids by American Eagle partnered to organize the Do Good Day event spanned 11 cities including, Boston, Chicago, Danbury, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Cherry Hill, New York City, Syracuse, Philadelphia, Pittsburg and Minneapolis.
The LA/Orange County bloggers included Ciaran Blumnfeld, Liz Cerezo, Linda Perry, Caryn Bailey, Elizabeth Peterson, Aracely Worley and myself.
