If you are looking for something to do this weekend that gives you a great work and a rewarding experience all at the same time – then sign up for the EIF Revlon Walk/Run

I think by now, everyone that knows me, knows I’ve been running myself up to running a 5K and I’m seriously thinking about signing up for the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women Los Angeles 2012. It’s just 3 days away! Tomorrow I will make the final decision to register or not to register.
To be honest I have no idea what’s stopping me – I mean I’m now able to muster through a 4 mile run in about 45 minutes so I should be able to handle a 5k. Plus with so many people running alongside of you – how could you not be motivated to keep pushing it through.
It’s for a Great Cause.
The Entertainment Industry Foundation Revlon Run/Walk for Women has touched the lives of millions of people through increased cancer awareness, education, research, and diagnostic treatment services. Created in 1994 the EIF Revlon Run/Walks (Los Angeles & New York) along with sponsors have distributed over 65 million dollars in the fight against women’s cancers.
It’s on my Life List.
Yes remember that Life List I proclaimed a few years ago – 22. Run a marathon. Not to self I need to update my Life List.
It’s Great Exercise.
I am planning on running Saturday anyway – so why not run with a crowd.
If you are in the Los Angeles area it’s not too late to register. The EIF Revlon Run/Walk (www.revlonrunwalk.org) will be held rain or shine on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at Exposition Park.

I hope you were able to participate in the race because it is for such a great cause. Reading this post really made me want to start training for a 5k such as this. I am very health conscious, but sometimes I find that life makes it easy to become distracted. Training for a race would keep me concentrated on the bigger picture of having to complete a race. I think it would be a great accomplishment to partake in something like that once in my life. How did it go? Were you able to participate?
