As my due date steadily approaches I can’t help but wonder if this baby is planning on staying inside forever. I’ve walked, I’ve relaxed, I’ve tried almost everything but he doesn’t want to move. Has he already developed my stubborn trait? Why is he so resistant to the unavoidable?
To my unborn son:
Mommy, Daddy and your big sister are all ready for you to make your grand appearance. I can’t wait to hold you close, feed you and breathe in your fresh scent. Won’t you come out today?
Daddy can’t wait to kick the soccer ball around, show his tools and tricks he can only show a little a boy. I won’t let him teach your sister how fun it is to burp out loud or “ARR” like a pirate. (Unfortunately, I lost the pirate battle).
Your sister is so excited to be a big sister and has been practice how to take care of you. She can’t wait to show you how fun it is to jump on Daddy’s stomach or how easy it is to wake Mommy up at 5 in the morning.
Most of all we can’t wait for you to join the family. So please don’t hesitate any longer, come out and enjoy the fun, so we can share are love together.
