22 weeks pregnant: i’m beginning to hate summer

I’m finally past the ½ way mark, and starting the countdown. I know, I know I have plenty of weeks ahead of me, but time is flying by.

The heat here has been horrendous, last week it topped at 105 which is hot for the San Fernando Valley. I keep asking myself, “Why do I live in the Valley?” This summer heat is making me want to reconsider. For those of you that don’t know the area, the Valley is about 15 miles, away from the cool temperatures of Santa Monica one way and Malibu the other. Everybody always says being pregnant during summer was more difficult and now I know why first hand.

I even had to toss all of my pregnancy clothes from the last time (not really complaining since I do love buying clothes) since they are mostly winter type clothes and anything else was just an emergency buy to take me through the last couple of weeks. Looking at the clothes now, I have to question my sense of style back then. I just have one word for it, “Wow.”

Luckily I have been able to find some really comfortable and cool t-shirts to wear through this go around. If you haven’t yet you have to check out the [bump] t-shirts, I bought one a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love it. They are soft and comfortable and best of all form fitting so they hug those pregnancy curves. I received compliments each time I wear it. You can purchase the [bump] t-shirts at LaLaBabyBoutique.com. We are even giving away the original black t-shirt in September all you have to do is register.

My most recent purchase is a t-shirt I bought from 2chix.com. I bought the “Just Kicking” t-shirt in brown. I received a bunch of compliments on this t-shirt as well. It is very comfortable and hugs the baby bump just as nicely. You can purchase the 2chix.com t-shirt direct at www.2chix.com.
