I can’t believe this year is almost over, I mean it seems like yesterday I was writing my un news year’s resolutions. No wonder I didn’t get to them all.
I can’t prove it but I swear time speeds up after college graduation and then accelerates even faster after you have your first baby. I can’t imagine how fast time must fly with 5 or 10 kids running around.
This year has been a historic one for sure; we have our first African-American president and our first African American Disney Princess. We lost the legendary Michael Jackson and so many others. This year will definitely be in the history books.
This year has been a challenging one I struggled a lot with life and work balance and still have yet to come up with the master plan. Even though I didn’t reach my ultimate goal of quitting full-time employment to entrepreneurship I have accomplished a lot this year.
My baby boutique has had a steady growth throughout the year; I’m ranked on the first page of Google for most of my key words (thanks, Craig!). We will be added a bunch of new products and expanding the store this coming year.
This year I’ve put a lot of work and effort into my blog bizziemommy.com and it’s starting to pay off. I was listed in the Nielson Top 50 Power Moms in Digital Media this past year. I interned on sparkplugging.com this year and learned a lot from Kelly and Wendy thanks again for the opportunity.
This year I was invited to join the moms of Lifetimemoms.com as the digital channel editor and that has been an experience in itself. In addition, I also started writing for Momsofhue.com which just had its official launch last year.
Here are some of my favorite articles of the year.

This year I also bought my first DSLR and fell in love with photography all over again. I haven’t been able to put the camera down. What I love most is that I found another connection with my Dad, who is an avid photographer.
This year I stepped out my comfort zone and went to my first photography shoot out and I even applied for the Soar Scholarship from Me Ra Koh. Crossing my fingers I get to be one of the lucky females, but there is some tuff competition.
This year has definitely been a challenge – juggling time, interests, priorities and commitments. There were days when I was ready to give it all up and days when I was ready to fly. I am hoping this New Year brings New Energy that will help me soar and grow!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
